Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)

Formal Partnerships for Strategic Impact

At EmergX Finance Corporation (EFC), we believe that delivering high-impact infrastructure and sustainable development across emerging markets requires more than capital — it demands strong, transparent partnerships.

Our Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) serve as strategic frameworks to align purpose, pool expertise, and de-risk investment pathways. Each MoU is a step toward scalable co-investment, shared impact goals, and institutional collaboration.

Purpose of Our MoUs

EFC enters into MoUs to:

✅ Establish formal collaboration for project origination, structuring, and financing

✅ Align capital deployment with national and regional development plans

✅ Strengthen ESG, compliance, and governance frameworks

✅ Support the incubation and co-management of investment vehicles and SPVs

✅ Enable multi-party participation in blended finance and green infrastructure deals

✅ Expand diaspora capital mobilisation platforms

Nigerian Capital Development Fund (NCDF Group)

In 2025, EmergX Finance Corporation signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Nigerian Capital Development Fund (NCDF Group) — Nigeria’s leading blended finance and impact investment institution.

Under the MoU:

  • EFC and NCDF will jointly co-develop investment platforms across infrastructure, affordable housing, energy, and health.
  • EFC will act as a foreign capital mobiliser and technical partner for structuring SPVs and investor syndication.
  • NCDF will provide access to local pipelines, governance frameworks, and policy support through its regulatory presence in Nigeria.
  • The partnership also supports the mobilisation of diaspora and institutional capital through EFC’s UK-regulated platform (under MiFID/IFPR).

This partnership anchors EFC’s West Africa strategy and positions both institutions to jointly manage over £150 million in upcoming impact-driven projects between 2025 and 2028.

Other Strategic MoUs Underway

We are currently formalising additional MoUs with:

  • State governments across Nigeria and Ghana (for infrastructure co-development)
  • Diaspora capital networks (for project syndication and fund co-ownership)
  • ESG and compliance technology firms (for risk and impact monitoring)
  • Guarantee institutions and DFIs (to enhance credit risk mitigation)

MoU Framework Principles

All EFC MoUs are built on:

  • Shared Vision– Commitment to SDG-aligned outcomes
  • Institutional Integrity– Respect for governance, regulation, and risk
  • Execution Pathways– Clear steps from intent to investment
  • Transparency– Measurable deliverables and open communication
  • Non-binding Intent– A collaborative structure without legal obligation

“Our MoUs are launchpads — designed to transition from strategy to execution, from promise to progress.”
